Starting from the cover, it’s pretty awesome and the title is catchy too.

Diondray’s Journey is the second book of the series The Diondray’s Chronicles that will transport you to the world of Kammbia, an imaginative place in which Diondray’s mission is to unite a nation divided by a forest of lies. When privilege becomes an unbearable burden to discover Diondray’s inner hero, what is a life of privilege worth if there’s no peace? What will happen next? To know more, you just need to pick this book up.
One of the many potent ways of reclaiming history by the author has been fictionalised by pinning the personal with the political and the past with the present in Diondray’s Chronicles. Although it juggles elements of memories, memoirs, magical realism to political violence and patriarchal repression through love, rebellion, art and emotions, transforming the allegory into a collective sharing in the history of the Kammbia.
Author narrates Diondray’s extraordinary journey of self-awakening and unfolding the truth behind his knowledge. From collective and personal instances of systematic subjugation of his real challenges to finding a solution of his own problem, author did a great job, voicing a vivid and true-to-life recounting of the unvoiced in a skillful manner.
The book also explores various regions, their thoughts and the real meaning of life. The entire plot brings a pretty solid turn and a heartwarming feelings within us. It focuses on every minute details of the storyline.
✖What I didn’t like✖
Few chapters were a bit lengthy and they could have been shorter.
Apart from that, I wish it could have been more swift with less amount of characters( just like previous book!)

I really loved author’s writing style and his power of storytelling from the roots. Fast paced narration is super engaging and makes this book an entertaining and relevant read. I’m eagerly waiting to read the last book of this series.
💠Recommendation:
Overall, the book is ideal for beginners but anybody can enjoy this.
