Starting from the cover, it looks awesome and eye-catching. Title is apt with the story.
The lines between reality and fiction often get blurbed in this book. This is not just limited to love story of Aslam and Ashwar but it’s also mirroring people’s real-live angst against corrupted militants in Pathri Ali of J&K. At another instance, this book takes pertinent issues like physical and emotional fallouts of domestic violence and melds it into a trippy thriller.
This is a heady ride where different versions of the truth are presented to believe in one or the other or none at all, and the characters are free to give rise to a complicated and layered narrative. Thus, author afforded deep insights into the militancy, the suffering and the resilience of Pir Panjal.
The twisted and wicked storyline is rich in research and offers an exhilarating climax, prevailing of good over evil.
Not to forget that it also has few drawbacks like-
◆sometimes the story is stretcheded unnecessarily.
◆The pace is quite slow.
Nevertheless, I’m glad that debutant author employs to take such issues forword and it’s a must read for everyone.
